The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all holiday rental bookings made directly with Macdonald Resorts, either via our own websites or by telephoning our reservations team.
When you make a booking, your contract (which shall include these terms and conditions) will be with Macdonald Resorts, which shall mean in these terms and conditions Macdonald Resorts Limited. Registered in Scotland VAT No. 241215802, IVA No. N-0062047F. Registered office: 5th Floor, 1 Exchange Crescent, Conference Square, Edinburgh, EH3 8UL.
All rates featured on the Macdonald Resorts website or quoted by telephone or otherwise are offered subject to availability and Macdonald Resorts reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason.
Our packages and pricing are subject to availability and may fluctuate depending on availability and demand at any given time and are therefore subject to change without notice. Your price is guaranteed once you have been given a booking confirmation number. Indicative alternative currency rates used to estimate cost and balance of cost are based on current exchange rates and are subject to fluctuation.
Reservations made with Macdonald Resorts are made on a room only basis unless otherwise stated. Prices for breaks can include a variation of accommodation types for example studio, one, two or three-bedroom properties with colour TV, direct dial telephone and varying private en-suite bathroom/s depending on the accommodation type reserved. Any bed and breakfast and dinner, bed and breakfast inclusive rates incorporate a saving on our standard resort prices. Prices are inclusive of VAT at the current prevailing rate.
Any extra charges incurred during your stay such as telephone calls, meals and drinks and equipment hire which are not part of your package will be chargeable upon departure. If staying in a resort in the United Kingdom your rate also excludes electricity which is metered during your stay. At resorts in England and Scotland this is charged at £0.18p per kWh and in Wales at £0.19p per kWh. All electricity costs are calculated based on your usage and are payable on departure. In the event that you fail to pay any such additional charges, it is a condition of your contract with Macdonald Resorts that you irrevocably authorise Macdonald Resorts Group to debit your credit or debit card (see 'Deposits and Pre-payments' below) for the amount of any shortfall.
BALANCE OF MONIES OUTSTANDING
On arrival you will be asked to produce a valid credit card for the resort to take pre-authorisation. Prior to your departure from the resort you will be required to settle your bill. If you are settling your account in cash or with a debit card, you will be asked for a deposit to cover the cost of your accommodation for your stay (any extras which you may incur in the resort will not be chargeable to your apartment account). Macdonald Resorts accept MasterCard and Visa.

BEST PRICE GUARANTEE
Book your Macdonald Resort direct with us and we guarantee you’ll get the best price for your accommodation. If you do find it cheaper elsewhere, we’ll match the price so you can still enjoy the added value all our direct customers enjoy. Our Best Rate Guarantee is valid for 24 hours following your booking with us. For comparison, the accommodation on any third-party website must be identical in size, for the same dates, duration and occupancy as your original booking and be available for public sale. Comparable rates must also be quoted in Pounds Sterling including all taxes. Price match cannot be made if discount codes or vouchers have been applied to third party prices. Guest must book a publicly available rate, this excludes promotional activity, mobile rates, member discounts and special offers with selected partners. Our guarantee only applies to accommodation prices and excludes any dining, activities or other on-site facilities. If you have pre-paid your reservation, any price match difference will be placed as a refund on your original payment card. We reserve the right to reject claims if reasonable proof is not available or if the holiday accommodation is not the same. Our Best Rate Guarantee is subject to availability and can be withdrawn at any time.
During major sporting events, social events, conferences, school holiday dates and exhibitions certain rates may not be available. Certain dates may also be subject to a minimum length of stay criteria & all rates & promotions are subject to availability. For operational reasons, it may be required from time to time to close a resort within the Macdonald Resort portfolio and guests may have to be moved to an alternative resort within the region. Where this is the case, such move shall only be to an accommodation type of at least an equivalent standard.
GUESTS WITH IMPAIRED MOBILITY
Guests with impaired mobility or other requirements should check with their chosen resort in advance to ensure that their requirements can be met. Please call the resort direct for details prior to reserving your accommodation.
Most of our UK resorts are able to accommodate up to 2 dogs per booking, at the resorts discretion. Pets are not permitted for holiday rentals in Spain. Our policy and applicable prices are detailed in our Pet Policy page. There are a number of Pets Go Free promotions throughout the year, to find out when the next one takes place visit our Pets Go Free page.
Car parking is free at all resorts. Each accomodation has a space allocated for one car. There may be additional public spaces for more vehicles but this is not guaranteed. For further information on parking availability at your chosen destination kindly contact the resort directly.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
For guests who book directly with us (online or by phone) resort accommodation is accessible from 1pm on the day of arrival. For all other bookings the arrival time is from 5pm.
Resort receptions are staffed until 10pm daily after which check-in is not available unless the resort is notified in advance. Macdonald Resorts are not accountable for any additional accommodation costs should guests arrive after 10pm without the resort being notified in advance. Please notify the resort directly should you expect to arrive later to avoid any issues with gaining access.
All accommodation must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure, unless late check-out has been arranged in advance (additional cost may apply).
Advertised rates which include breakfast offer a full traditional or continental breakfast with tea or coffee, unless stated otherwise. Rates which include dinner offer a choice from the resort’s table d'hôte menu. Where a resort does not offer a table d'hôte menu, an allowance (which may vary per resort) is allocated towards dining from the à la carte menu. There is no refund for meals which are not taken by guests and lunch cannot be taken in place of dinner.
HEALTH, LEISURE AND WELLBEING
Our resorts have excellent leisure and spa facilities such as a swimming pool, steam room, sauna and spa pool (the availability and range of facilities varies from resort to resort). Please check online for the range of facilities at your chosen resort. Access to leisure facilities is included in your holiday rental however spa treatments and some sports equipment hire will incur extra charges. Your use of such facilities is subject to any terms and conditions applying at the resort at which you have placed your booking.
Under 16's are not permitted to use the gym or any of our thermal suites or spa treatments. They must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times when using the leisure facilities. Under 8's are not permitted to use the jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms. In some instance’s adult only and family session times may apply in our swimming pools, please check directly with your chosen resort for more information.
If you have had or are suffering from severe allergies, ill health, a medical condition or are pregnant we advise you to speak to your GP prior to arrival to ensure you can use our leisure and spa facilities, services and treatments. All spa treatments booked are subject to medical status. We reserve the right to refuse treatment/s if we feel it is not in the best interest of the Client.

GIFT VOUCHERS & VOUCHER PRIZES
Gift vouchers and vouchers used as competition prizes, unless otherwise specified on the voucher, are valid for one year from date of issue unless specified otherwise. If you have a prize voucher and wish to extend the validity date, please contact Central Reservations on 0344 879 9210.
Macdonald Hotel & Resorts gift vouchers can only be used as part payment for resort accommodation and not for additional services such as meals or spa treatments. Customers must advise that they intend to use a voucher prior to booking a break. Gift vouchers can be used to settle accounts in Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, either in full or part payment, but change cannot be given. Vouchers can only be used up to a maximum of £2,000 in any one transaction. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, replaced if lost and is non-transferable. Monetary gift vouchers cannot be split to settle accounts in more than one Macdonald Resort, nor can accounts be transferred. No refund of money will be made once voucher has been purchased and no change can be given unless Macdonald Resorts withdraw vouchers without prior notice. Macdonald Resorts cannot accept responsibility for the loss or theft of a Macdonald gift voucher after it has been issued. Macdonald Resorts reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. No photocopies will be accepted. If a resort is no longer part of the Macdonald Resorts once you come to use vouchers it will not be accepted, vouchers can only be used in resorts part of the Macdonald Hotels & Resorts at time of use and not at time of purchase.
CANCELLATION & AMENDMENTS: (Some terms may vary depending on the offer booked)
All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Standard terms state 25% deposit is required to secure bookings made more than 28 days in advance of arrival. Any outstanding balance is due to be paid in full 28 days before arrival. For bookings made within 28 days of arrival the total holiday value is payable at the point of booking.
Guests can make one amendment to any booking up until 28 days before arrival. Amended arrival date must be within one year of original booking. If the new booking is of a higher value, then you will be required to pay the difference.
If you cancel more than 28 days before arrival you are liable to pay a cancellation fee which is of 25% of the total holiday value. If you cancel within 28 days of arrival you are liable to pay a cancellation fee which is 100% of the total holiday value
Macdonald Resorts have the right to cancel your booking if the full balance is not paid 28 days before arrival and retain any deposit amount already paid. All pre-paid deposits and balances are non-refundable.
Promotion and Partnership rates may only be cancelled in accordance with the specific terms applying to that rate which will be advised at the time of booking.
A cancellation number must be obtained to ensure that minimum charges are levied.
Whilst every effort is made to fulfil any particular requests which you may make in relation to your stay with us, please note that these requests do not form part of our contract and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests.
COMPLAINTS OR COMMENTS
Any complaint or feedback regarding a stay at one of our resorts should be made in the first instance to the resort’s duty manager at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved at that time. Problems which cannot be resolved there and then should be notified in writing to:

Macdonald Hotels & Resorts shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.
For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to attempt to exclude or limit Macdonald Hotels & Resorts' liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by the negligence of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts or its employees, servants or agents or to attempt to exclude or limit Macdonald Hotels & Resorts' liability in any manner which would be unlawful.
These terms and conditions shall be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which the resort for which you make your booking is situated.
