Malaga Coastal Path Extends to Doña Lola

22nd January 2018

The Malaga Coastal Path (Senda Litorial de Malaga) has reached one of its most exciting phases to date as works commence along the coast at Calahonda.

Once complete this new boardwalk will create a seamless link between Macdonald Doña Lola Resort and all the other surrounding resorts along the Mediterranean including Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Marbella and Estepona. A staggering 180km in length the attractive wooden boardwalk runs parallel to the sea offering walkers, joggers, cyclists and families safe passage along the coast with easy access and magnificent views over the sea and numerous beaches.

Work to extend the boardwalk to Calahonda will commence on 16 April 2018, it will involve some disruption at our Resort while the project team carry out the works. For a short period 1 of the 3 swimming pools will be closed and the poolside La Plaza Restaurant. However, La Toscana Lounge will be open during the day to serve snacks, drinks and a bar lunch menu and evening meals. There is also an extensive choice of local bars and restaurants within a 2 minute walk. Our gymnasium, sauna and steam room will remain open to all guests as normal.
