How long do I own my holiday for?

Majority of resorts are owned in perpetuity (forever) or for limited time duration with the provision for the club to be extended. This means that you can transfer your Holiday ownership to your children.

Do I have full use of the leisure facilities at the resort?

Yes, during your stay you have full use of the swimming pool and gym. There is a small charge for Tennis Courts. In addition to this, as a Macdonald Resorts owner you may also visit any of our other resorts to utilise the leisure facilities free of charge up to 12 times per year.

What happens if I cannot use my week?

Holiday ownership provides absolute flexibility for holidaying. Should you be unable to use your week, or you wish to holiday elsewhere, then you have multiple options.

  1. Macdonald Resorts operates an internal exchange programme which means you can exchange to any of our resorts at another time of year, or even visit your home resort at another time of year (Subject to availability).
  2. Should you wish to visit resorts elsewhere in the World, then you can exchange your week through numerous international exchange companies.

Can I change the size of my apartment or the time of year of my holiday?

You can use the exchange systems outlined above, or should you wish the change to be permanent then you may contact your resort sales department.

Can my friends or family use my week if I am not there?

Yes, holiday ownership means that you can decide as to who will occupy your week(s). They will have exactly the same use of facilities as you would during their stay.

Is my ownership safe and secure?

All properties are Deed or Title protected. All owners are issued with a Holiday Certificate showing their legal entitlement to ownership.

Is the standard and quality of my ownership secure?

Yes. We carry out regular maintenance and preventative work to ensure the quality of accommodation is preserved. In addition, part of your annual maintenance fee is placed in a reserve fund to pay for replacement of items due to wear and tear.

Can I spread the cost of my purchase?

Yes. We can offer you various financial packages, tailored to your needs.

Will your sales people try to pressure me into buying?

Absolutely not. Holiday ownership is not for everyone. We will give you all the facts and figures you require, and you make the decision.
